The association will provide leadership and vision with a voice in state and national forums. We will provide industry updates, commercial services, events and government policy monitoring. We are creating an entrepreneurial organization where the voice of South Dakota and our biotech leaders will be recognized throughout the biotech world.

South Dakota and the Bio-based Future
The SD Biotech Association will foster communications and support for a bio-based economy that will included the development of industrial enzymes, livestock genetics, seed genetics, human gene research, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, advanced bio-composites, biomass technologies and healthy foods/beverages.

We have long established our place in developing new plant hybrids for grains, leading genetics for beef and dairy production and have shared in the rapid expansion of enzymes used for ethanol bio-processing. The association will foster industry partnerships, support research innovations, and will work closely with state and federal policymakers.
