Cyber Security for Small Businesses and Startups

Ashley Podhradsky from Dakota State University will address the importance of understanding the cybersecurity risks which your small business faces. She will address the topics of security assessments and training for your staff, how you gain cyber intelligence by monitoring activity affecting your business, and how to work with your IT professionals to put in systems to defend against identified risks. She will introduce a new program funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration to help small businesses with cybersecurity. She is leading a comprehensive cybersecurity program for small businesses in South Dakota including cybersecurity assessments, security awareness training, cyber threat intelligence and remediation activation which is funded by the Small Business Administration.
